PUR is how many times an individual patient will attend a consultation in a year. On average it can be
calculated as Total numbers of consultations per yr / Total number of patients in the practice.
A PUR = 4 means on average a patient will attend for a consultation 4 times in a year.

FTE is 10:10ths full time equivalence. A full time doctor is defined as one who works 10 sessions per week (5 days), 48 weeks per year.
-
Patients seen per day per FTE: is the number of scheduled patients (or appointments available) per day for a FTE.
ie. it will be 24 if there are 12 appointments in a morning session and 12 in an afternoon session.
1. Use FTE = 1 to calculate individual doctor practice size, or FTE = 0.5 for 5:10 practice size etc.
